Commissioned by Landcorp and completed in 2016, this piece plays homage to the men and women who served in WW1, in a war far from their shores. It reflects the military history and significance of the site on which the work stands - a beach training ground for soldiers on their way to Egypt. The work is also used as a memorial site for service people and their families, particularly around Anzac Day, inviting those to engage with the piece to remember the stories and histories the work represents.
